When law enforcement and fire personal arrived on scene the barn was fully engulfed in flames. Fire personal was able to contain the fire to prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings and propane tanks.

The main structure was a pole shed approximately 40’X 80’ in size and it is considered a total loss. Inside the building was approximately 15 pigs that were lost to the fire. There was also small machinery, hay and straw that was kept in the building and is considered a complete loss as well.

The official cause of the fire is still under investigation. There were numerous heat lamps inside that are believed to be a factor in the building catching on fire. The homeowner was not on scene when the fire started and a passerby called in the fire initially. There were no injuries to people as a result of the fire.
