December 10, 2024 – West Bend, Wi – Dolores L. Terlinden, 100, of West Bend, WI, passed on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Kathy’s Hospice surrounded by her family.
She was born March 23, 1924, in the Town of Barton to the late Herbert and Olga Kocher (nee Peterman). Dolores married the love of her life Ervin H. Terlinden on June 23, 1945, at Peace UCC in Kewaskum, where she was a life member.
Dolores worked at Power Products for 30 years until she retired. She and Ervin had the Christmas tree business for over 60 years, where she made all the wreaths. Dolores said, “I wished I kept count of how many I made.” She stayed up nights making the bows and had her children and grandchildren paint the cones.
Dolores loved fishing with Ervin at Lynn Ann’s on Big St. Germain Lake, and she loved her special hugs from Courtney, Ryan, and Scott.
Dolores is survived by her three children, Gary (Joyce) Terlinden, Jean (Elroy) Klug, and June Karnitz (friend Elroy Matti); ten grandchildren, Melissa (Dee) Temples, Lisa (Trevor) Gantner, Christopher Klug, Tracy (Justin) Krohn, Jennifer (Curtis) Ringwell, Jeffrey Karnitz, Jesse (Amber) Terlinden, Heidi (William) Lindman, Luke (Margie) Terlinden, and Marie Terlinden; sister-in-law, Diane Kocher; and daughter-in-law, Donna Kogler. She is further survived by 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; former son-in-law, Thomas Karnitz; former daughter-in-law, Marilyn Terlinden; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ervin Terlinden; son, Karl Terlinden; brothers, Marlin and Howard Kocher; and sister-in-law, Irene Kocher.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dolores’ name can be directed to Peace UCC Kewaskum or Kathy’s Hospice in West Bend.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Froedtert Hospitals and Kathy’s Hospice for their tender loving care.
VISITATION: Dolores’ family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home at 215 Forest Ave, Kewaskum, WI 53040
SERVICE: A Funeral Service in remembrance of Dolores will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Eric Kirkegaard officiating. Entombment will take place on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
