Man dies after vehicle pulled from 2-feet of water in FDL County | By Sgt. Logan Will

November 19, 2024 – Fond du Lac Co., Wi – On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 12:07 p.m., the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received 911 calls of a vehicle that had driven off the roadway on USH 151 near I-41 and was down near a pond.

This is located in the Township of Fond du Lac. Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office along with City of Fond du Lac Fire Rescue were dispatched to the scene.

At this same time, the wife of the subject called 911 advising that she had been on the phone with her husband who had indicated to her he believed he was having a heart attack and was attempting to drive to the hospital when she believed he had been involved in an accident.

Deputies arrived on scene and located the vehicle in approximately 2 feet of water. The driver and lone occupant, a 57-year-old Brownsville man, was non-responsive at this time.

Deputies were able to force entry into the vehicle and began life-saving efforts. Fond du Lac Fire Rescue arrived on scene and were able to extricate the male from the vehicle.

The Fire Rescue crew took over life-saving efforts and the Brownsville man was transported to St. Agnes Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. No other vehicles were involved in this incident.

This has been determined to be a medical issue. Due to this not being a fatal vehicle crash, the name of the deceased will not be released.
