West Bend – Cedar Community is proud to announce it has received recognition as one of the Best Nursing Homes for 2025 by U.S. News & World Report, a global authority in health care ranking.
This is the seventh year Cedar Community has received this ranking out of nearly 15,000 U.S. nursing homes. Cedar Community’s short-term rehabilitation has an overall rating of five out of five and earned the status of “High Performing,” the highest possible rating.
The rating evaluates Cedar Community’s post-acute care for patients recovering from a hospital stay.
U.S. News gives the designation of Best Nursing Home only to those organizations who satisfy U.S. News’ assessment of the appropriate use of key services and consistent performance using a variety of quality measures obtained from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Assessments of services include categories such as nurse staffing, physical therapist staffing, consistent nurse staffing, prevention of falls, patients able to return home, and patient-centered rehabilitation therapy.
