Slinger School Board member resigns

Slinger, WI – Slinger School Board member Cherie Rhodes submitted a letter of resignation after serving 13 years on the school board.
Dear Slinger School District Staff and Families,

After much reflection, I have made the decision to step down from my position on the Slinger School Board, effective December 1st.

It has been an incredible honor to serve this community for the past 13 years. As a longtime resident and proud parent of two Slinger graduates, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside so many dedicated staff members, parents, and community members.

I have been proud to wear the colors of the Owls and stand with all of you in support of our schools. Our district continues to thrive—whether it’s through our exceptional academic achievements, the growth of our students, or the unwavering commitment of our staff. We’ve come a long way, and I’m immensely proud of everything we’ve accomplished together.

The Board will discuss the timeline for selecting a replacement at an upcoming meeting. I look forward to supporting a smooth transition and am confident that the future of our district will continue to be bright.

Thank you for your support, your trust, and for the opportunity to serve this wonderful district.

With gratitude,
Cherie Rhodes

The school board will discuss filling the seat.

This is a working story and more information will be posted when details are available.
