Letter to the Editor | Neighbors concerned about proposed housing development on S. 18th Ave. & CTH NN | By Jenny Hafeman

November 11, 2024 – West Bend, WI – Here is info regarding the upcoming Common Council meeting in West Bend concerning the change in zoning to residential for the property located on the northeast corner of S. 18th Avenue and County Highway NN.

Letter to the Editor 18

Monday, November 11 at 6:20 p.m. at the City Hall on Main Street in West Bend.

The plan is to develop 34 acres of land into 90 homesites.  An additional 18 acres with an estimated 40 homes will also be discussed.

Homeowners in area are concerned with safety and road traffic on both S. 18th avenue and County Highway NN.

The homeowners are requesting the developer and City of West Bend reduce the density of the development.

The site is also located on watersheds of both Silver Lake and Quass Creek.  At this time, there is no green space planned on the development property.

It has been less than 1 week before the planning commission approved the rezoning of the property.

The Common Council meeting is Monday, November 11 at 6:20 p.m. at the City Hall on Main Street in West Bend.

PLEASE ATTEND THIS MEETING TO SUPPORT A REDUCTION OF 90 HOMESITES WITHIN 34 ACRE DEVELOPMENT.  WE WANT TO HAVE SAFE ROADS.

DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENTS SHOULD BE WELL THOUGHT OUT.

NEIGHBORS SHOULD BE INFORMED AND LISTENED TO BY THE COMMON COUNCIL AND CITY OF WEST BEND
