West Bend, Wi – A 27-year-old West Bend, Wi, man is due in Washington County Circuit Court next month after being charged with 15 felony counts of possession of child pornography.
According to West Bend Police Lt. Brian McAndrews the police received a cyber tip on October 23, 2024, from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding an internet user near a school in West Bend uploading suspected pornographic images of young children.
McAndrews said, “On October 30, 2024, the West Bend Police Department executed a search warrant at the suspected residence. 27-year-old West Bend resident Ryan Murphy was arrested and charged by the Washington County District Attorney with 15 counts of possession of child pornography. Murphy’s bond was set at $15,000.”
Murphy bonded out and was released from the county jail.

On October 31, 2024 Murphy made an initial appearance in Judge James Muehlbauer’s court.
