Heavy rain & wind advisory Thursday across Washington Co., WI

October 30, 2024 – Washington Co., WI – Well this forecast will surely fill your gutters with leaves.


The National Weather Service has strong storms with heavy rain tonight followed by a wind advisory Thursday, just in time for Halloween.

WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 10 PM CDT THURSDAY…

* WHAT…Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.

* WHERE…Portions of east central, south central, and southeast Wisconsin.

* WHEN…From 10 AM to 10 PM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Parents my want to stick a brick in a child’s pocket if they plan on trick or treating in Germantown on Thursday.
