Letter to the Editor | Support Rep. Rick Gundrum 58th Assembly District | By Sheriff Martin Schulteis

October 25, 2024 – Washington Co., Wi –  I am writing to express my unwavering support for Representative Rick Gundrum in the upcoming 58th Assembly District election. As the Sheriff of Washington County, I have had the privilege of working alongside Representative Gundrum, and he is a true leader dedicated to the safety and well-being of our residents.
Letter to the Gundrum

Throughout his local and statewide career, Rick has demonstrated a deep understanding of the challenges facing public safety, including mental health, the consequences of illicit drug use, and the importance of offender accountability.

He consistently advocates for policies that prioritize the safety of our citizens and support our law enforcement agencies, always seeking the perspectives of law enforcement executives during the evaluation of prospective legislation.

Moreover, he has engaged with law enforcement and community leaders to author legislation addressing human trafficking, election integrity, child abuse prevention, and the preservation of our Second Amendment rights. His established ability to foster collaboration is crucial in ensuring that our community remains a safe and welcoming place for all.

I urge residents in the 58th Assembly District to support Representative Rick Gundrum in the November 5th election. With his leadership, I am confident that we can continue to build a safer, stronger community. He is the clear choice for law and order.

Martin R. Schulteis
Sheriff, Washington County
