3 arrested following high-speed pursuit in FDL County | By Sgt. Henning

October 17, 2024 – Fond du Lac Co., WI – On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at approximately 11:12 p.m. a deputy with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop on I-41 near Military Road for an equipment violation.

The deputy walked up to the vehicle, but prior to being able to initiate contact the vehicle fled from the stop location.

The suspect vehicle increased its speed failing to obey the deputy’s emergency lights and siren. A pursuit was initiated. The pursuit continued northbound on Interstate 41.

 

An officer with the Village of North Fond du Lac Police Department was able to successfully deploy Stop Stick tire deflation devices on Interstate 41 near Winnebago Street. The pursuit continued northbound on Interstate 41, but the vehicle decreased its speed due to the deflation of the front tires.

A box in maneuver was utilized to bring the vehicle to a stop. Once the vehicle was stopped a high-risk traffic stop was conducted. The driver and two passengers were immediately taken into custody without further incident.

 

The driver was identified as a 24-year-old male from Green Bay, Wisconsin. The driver was out on a cash bond for two felony cases, out of Brown County, for manufacture/deliver fentanyl, possession of narcotic drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.


The driver was arrested and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail for felony fleeing and eluding, two counts of felony bail jumping, possession of drug paraphernalia, and will be issued numerous traffic citations.

 

The front passenger was identified as a 41-year-old male from Oneida, Wisconsin.

The front passenger was on parole for 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, manufacture/deliver heroin, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The front passenger also had an active felony warrant through the Wisconsin probation and parole.


The front passenger was arrested and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a felony warrant through probation and parole.

 

The rear passenger was identified as a 24-year-old female from Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The rear passenger was out on a signature bond for four open cases through Shawano and Brown counties for felony bail jumping, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of narcotic drugs.


The rear passenger was arrested and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail for two counts of felony bail jumping, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

The pursuit lasted approximately 6.7 miles. No civilians, or deputies were injured as a result of this pursuit. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Village of North Fond du Lac Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, and City of Fond du Lac Police Department.
