It stormed Saturday night, which with the rain, eliminated the severe dust clouds from riders and made the sand a bit firmer and tackier and the wooden boardwalks extra slippery.

The 3 and 4-lap riders’ course had a beautiful route overlooking Crystal Lake. Fall weather was in full effect on Sunday – riders (when not racing) and spectators broke out their hats, gloves, warm coats and blankets to combat the wind and colder temperatures amongst the colorful leaves of the woods. The Hodag may or may not have been a hidden spectator out on the trails.

The Trail Sharks have one more race for the season for the State Championship in Waterloo at Trek Trails. The team will also be part of the West Bend Homecoming Parade on Friday, Oct. 11.
