West Bend, Wi – The West Bend West JV1 volleyball team captured the Port Washington JV tournament over the weekend.
The team finished 5 – 1 in their pool advancing to the Gold Bracket.
In pool play they beat Prairie School 2 – 0. Cedar Grove/Belgium 2 – 0 and Kohler 1 – 1. In the semi-final Gold Bracket they beat Oostburg 2 – 0 and in the final match shutout Port Washington 2 – 0.
Coach John Minz said, “The team played exceptional defense and added a strong offense.”
The team collective had over 20 ace serves.
