Obit: Richard R. Ebert, 69, of Kewaskum

Richard R. Ebert, 69, of Kewaskum passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

He was born on November 30, 1946, the son of Vilas and Rosella (nee Wagner) Ebert, and on May 3, 1969, he was united in marriage to Barbara Butzke at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.  Barbara preceded Richard in death on July 10, 2014.

Richard worked at Regal Ware in Kewaskum for 44 years.  He enjoyed reading, watching Packers football, shooting pool, shooting trap, and traveling with Barbara.

Richard was a long time member of St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane and the XYZ card club.

Those Richard leaves behind to cherish his memory include his two children, Eric (Tina) Ebert of Campbellsport and Melissa (Chris) Kohnke of Eldorado; four grandchildren, Hailey and Kaitlyn Ebert and Jacob and Makenna Kohnke; his father, Vilas Ebert of Campbellsport; a mother-in-law, Athleen Butzke of Campbellsport; two brothers, Norman (Mary) Ebert and Russel Ebert both of Campbellsport; a sister, Donna Schmidt of Campbellsport; two brothers-in-law, David (Cindy) Butzke and Daniel (Kay) Butzke both of Campbellsport, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife and mother, Richard was preceded in death by a father-in-law, Melvin Butzke and a nephew, Keith Schmidt.

Funeral services for Richard will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.  Rev. Mark Eckert will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from Noon until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John Lutheran Church are appreciated.
