August 12, 2024 – Town of Farmington –  On Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 12:37 p.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of CTH A and Trading Post Trail in the Town of Farmington.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office, along with Fillmore First Responders, Fillmore Fire and Newburg Rescue were dispatched to the scene.
After the arrival of emergency personnel on scene, West Bend Fire Intercept was requested to respond as well.
The initial investigation indicated a 73-year-old West Bend resident was operating southbound on Trading Post Trail.
There was a westbound vehicle on CTH A operated by a 22-year-old Fredonia area resident. The two vehicles struck in the intersection of CTH A and Trading Post Trail.
The operator of the westbound vehicle was transported to Aurora Grafton by Newburg Rescue with minor injuries.
The driver of the southbound vehicle was pronounced deceased on scene.
Traffic was diverted from the area for an extended period while the Washington County Crash Reconstruction Unit was on scene to assist with the investigation along with the Washington County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The crash remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and no additional information is available currently.
