August 7, 2024 – Town of West Bend, Wi – Washington County Sheriff Martin Schulteis has confirmed the name of the man killed in a single vehicle crash Friday, August 2, 2024. The incident was the third fatal traffic crash of the year in Washington County, WI. It occurred at 8:21 p.m. in the area of County Road Z north of Dunst Drive.
According to the sheriff the driver was identified as 26-year-old Kristopher Reinders. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

August 3, 2024 – Town of West Bend, WI – On Friday, August 2, 2024, at 8:21 p.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single vehicle rollover crash in the area of County Road Z north of Dunst Drive, in the township of West Bend.
Additionally, West Bend Rescue was summoned to the scene to treat the potential injured parties.
Upon the first deputy’s arrival, he found the vehicle had come to rest on the passenger side with a male occupant trapped inside.
The sole occupant inside the vehicle was not displaying any signs of life. West Bend Rescue confirmed that the sole occupant was deceased.
Preliminary investigation shows the vehicle was operating southbound on County Road Z, gradually crossed over into northbound lanes and continued into the east ditch where the vehicle struck a WE Energies pole, continued south in the ditch where the vehicle rolled multiple times before coming to rest.
County Road Z was closed to traffic for approximately 3 hours to facilitate the investigation and clean-up.
The deceased operator is a 26-year-old male from Washington County.
This is Washington County’s third traffic fatality in 2024.
No further information is being released currently and the crash remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit.
August 2, 2024 – Town of West Bend, Wi – Washington County Sheriff’s deputies are on scene of a bad crash on CTH Z and Dunst Drive in the Town of West Bend, WI. The call came in around 8:30 p.m. Friday evening.
The location is just down the road, south of the Town of West Bend Town Hall and north of the West Bend Country Club.
