WBW volleyball earns AVCA Team Academic Award

West Bend, Wi – The American Volleyball Coaches of America (AVCA) announced the West Bend West High School volleyball team was awarded the AVCA Team Academic Award for maintaining a 3.6 team GPA (on a 4.0 scale) for the 2023-2024 school year.

Five players on the team earned a perfect 4.0 GPA for the full academic year: Maria Olson, Kylee Altendorf, Avah Banks, Paige Guse, and Morgan Winkler.

More than 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball programs maintained a year-long grade point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale to earn the award for their classroom excellence during the recently completed academic year.

This is a record number of volleyball programs to earn the AVCA Team Academic Award, which is sponsored by INTENT.
