Deputies with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, Eden Fire Department and First Responders, Campbellsport Ambulance, and Fond du Lac Fire / Rescue Paramedics were dispatched to the crash. Initial reports indicated one of the occupants was unconscious.

Through investigation and witness statements, it was learned the motorcycle was being operated by a 65-year-old Kohler man with the passenger a 57-year-old Kohler woman.

They were traveling northbound on STH 67 when a mechanical issue took place, causing the motorcycle to crash into a guardrail and throwing both occupants off the motorcycle.

The operator suffered serious injuries and was flown from the scene by ThedaStar medical helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah. The passenger suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to St. Agnes Hospital.

Neither occupant was wearing a helmet. The only factor in the crash appears to be a mechanical issue with the motorcycle. No citations were issued.
