Message from Chief of Police Kenneth J Meuler:
On October 31 the Mayor and Common Council honored all our area veterans at a special meeting of the Common Council. I would like to send my thanks and appreciation for all the men and women in the community that sacrificed so much for our country. I especially want to thank those veterans that are members of the West Bend Police Department – Thank you to Lieutenant Farrand, Police Officers Donath, Wenzel, Wenzler, Stukenberg, and Executive Assistant Manresa for their service to our Country.
I also want to take this time to thank the members of the WB Police Department that donated to “Project Gratitude.” Project Gratitude was started seven years ago by Terri Fredericks and the sales associates at First Weber Realty. Each year they collect money to purchase food and make up Thanksgiving baskets for families in need in the West Bend community. This year, as a means to show our gratitude to the West Bend community for all the support they have shown the police throughout the year, our department members donated $2,800 to Project Gratitude. The $2,800 will buy food for 70 families and represents one basket for each full time member of the Department.
THANK YOU to the community and THANK YOU to all the employees of the PD.
Stay safe, have a safe and bountiful hunt, and I hope to see you in the community.
Kenneth J. Meuler, Chief of Police
