Approximately 40 ducks and chickens perish in Sheboygan fire | By Sgt. Brad Robinson

June 24, 2024 – Sheboygan Co., WI – On Monday, June 24, 2024, at approximately 408 hours, the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a structure fire at W4234 County Road A North, in the Town Herman.  Arriving fire department personnel reported a barn fully engulfed by fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.

Approximately 40 ducks and chickens perished in the fire.

The following fire departments assisted in this incident: Ada, Howards Grove, Haven, Johnsonville, Elkhart Lake, Town of Sheboygan Falls, City of Sheboygan Falls, Plymouth, St. Nazianz, Kiel, Cleveland, Valders, and the Sheboygan County Fire Investigation Unit.

Other public safety agencies that assisted in this incident: Howards Grove First Responders, Orange Cross Ambulance, Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, and the Sheboygan County Highway Department.
