June 20, 2024 – Fond du Lac Co., WI – On June 19 at 8: 17 p.m. a Fond du Lac County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation on Interstate 41 northbound near Lost Arrow Road in Fond du Lac County.
The vehicle initially pulled over and the driver verbally provided a name to the Deputy for his identity but was not able to provide any form of a valid driver’s license or identification card.

The Deputy returned to his squad car and was attempting to run the driver’s name when the vehicle drove away from the traffic stop at a high rate of speed and a pursuit was initiated.
The suspect vehicle then utilized a turn around on the Interstate and continued southbound on Interstate 41. The vehicle continued south into Dodge County and then the driver lost control and entered the east ditch.
The suspect driver was able to gain control and get back onto the highway where he pulled over and stopped. The suspect vehicle was then boxed in but the initial deputy and a high-risk stop was performed. The driver was taken into custody without further incident.
There were three passengers in the vehicle with the driver. There were no injuries as a result of the pursuit. The suspect’s vehicle sustained minor damages from the “box in” maneuver performed by the Deputy. The squad car was not damaged.
The driver is a 36-year-old male from Milwaukee who had a nationwide felony warrant for his arrest through probation and parole. The subject was on parole for felon in possession of a firearm and has had an active warrant for his arrest for over a year. The driver initially provided a fake name/date of birth to the deputy on the initial traffic stop.
Assisting Fond du Lac Sheriff’s at the scene were Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol. The pursuit lasted approximately 10 miles.
