Hartford, WI – The Cooperative Academic Partnership Program (CAPP) is proud to announce that Christine Shelsta, a Physical Education and Health Instructor at Hartford Union High School, has been awarded the esteemed CAPP Adjunct of the Year Award for the 2023-24 academic year.
Dr. Christy Tipps, a UW Oshkosh Department Chair of Human Kinetics and Health Education, nominated Christine Shelsta for her exceptional dedication and innovative teaching methods.
“I am very humbled and honored to receive the CAPP Adjunct of the Year Award,” Shelsta said. “Coaching and officiating are topics near and dear to my heart and being able to share my knowledge and experiences with our students has become a passion of mine.”
Dr. Tipps highlighted Shelsta’s impressive impact. “I have been so impressed with Christine Shelsta. She has been teaching two courses within our Coaching Certificate program (Phy Ed 320 Contemporary Issues in Coaching and Phy Ed 328 Officiating Team Sports), and what she is doing and has done at Hartford Union High School is above and beyond what is done in the same campus cohort.”
Shelsta’s commitment to excellence in education and coaching is evident when you see how engaged and motivated her Hartford Union students are in her class.
CAPP Adjunct of the Year Awards recognize outstanding adjunct instructors who have made significant contributions to their fields and demonstrated excellence in teaching. Each winner receives a crystal apple and a certificate in recognition of their achievements. The awards are based on nominations from CAPP faculty-liaisons, who highlight the exemplary work and dedication of these educators.
