Hartford Rotary Students of the Month | By Katrina Cravy

March 10, 2024 – Hartford, WI – The Hartford Rotary Club and Hartford Union High School are pleased to announce that Lindsey Radermacher and Sam Williams were honored recently as Rotary Students of the Month. The students were given special recognition for their accomplishments at the Hartford Rotary Club’s Thursday noon meetings during the month of February.

Lindsey Radermacher is the daughter of Geri and Corey Radermacher. Radermacher
is a member of the Math Club, Math Team, Best Buddies, H-Club, National Honor Society, and the Athletic Training program at Hartford. She also participated in Girls Basketball and earned a varsity letter in Girls Softball. Radermacher is currently ranked 7th in her class and was named an AP Scholar Student and a finalist for a Herb Kohl Scholarship. Her favorite classes are Athletic Training and EMT and she hopes to be certified as an EMT by the end of the school year.

Radermacher has given back to her community by volunteering her time working
concession stands, doing field prep, and field takedown for the Richfield Rebels, Richfield, Rage and the Menomonee Falls Angels. She has volunteered for the Richfield Historical Society Thresheree and the Maple Syrup Family Day. Through H-Club, Radermacher has participated in the Stuffed Animal Drive, the School Supply Drive, the Toy Drive, the Salvation Army Bell Ringing Campaign and helped with the Special Olympics Basketball Team. She has also worked at the HUHS Girls Basketball Youth Camp and the HUHS Middle School Math Meet.

After graduation from high school, Radermacher plans to attend the College of Lake
County in Illinois where she will play Division II Junior College softball. After two years, she plans to transfer to UW-LaCrosse to earn a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and then a Master’s degree in Athletic Training.

Sam Williams is the son of Andrea and James Williams. Williams is a member of the
Math Team, Math Club, Student Council, FFA, Environmental Club and National Honor Society at HUHS. He also participated in Cross Country and Track and Field all four years and was named Hartford’s most improved Cross Country runner his junior year. Williams represented HUHS at the Wisconsin Leadership Seminar and is also a member of the National Society of High School Scholars.

Through Student Council, Williams has helped decorate downtown Hartford for
Homecoming and Christmas, helped with the Middle School Leadership Council and delivered Valentines to local nursing homes. He has volunteered his time working at the Rossman School Fun Fair, the Lincoln School Fun Fair, Fiesta Latina, the Middle School Cross Country Meet, the Washington County Humane Society, the Environmental Club’s Druid Lake Purple Loosestrife Project, the Richfield Historical Society Thresheree, the FFA Fruit Sale, and at various school sporting event concession stands.

Williams plans to attend the University of Wisconsin Madison or the University of
Minnesota-Twin Cities and major in either Neurobiology or Biochemistry.
