Woman killed in single vehicle crash, 3-year-old not injured in City of Fond du Lac | By Fond du Lac Police

February 13, 2024 – Fond du Lac, WI – On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at approximately 6:23 p.m., the City of Fond du Lac Police Department and Fire/Rescue responded to the area of W. Follett Street and N. Main Street for a single vehicle crash. The vehicle ended up striking landscaping bricks and came to a rest sitting atop a cluster of bushes.

FDLPD Officers responded and located a 33-year-old female slumped over and unresponsive inside the vehicle. FDLPD Officers extricated the female and performed life-saving efforts until Fire/Rescue paramedics arrived. FDLPD Officers also learned that a 3-year-old child was a passenger in the vehicle.

The City of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue transported the female to SSM Health (St. Agnes Hospital) with life-threatening injuries. Paramedics also checked out the child and noted no injuries from the crash. The 33-year-old female was later pronounced deceased while at the hospital.
FDLPD Detectives responded to the scene. The investigation into the circumstances that led up to the death of the 33-year-old female is active and ongoing at this time. The Fond du Lac Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause and manner of death. The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time, pending family notification(s).
The investigation into this crash is at the preliminary stages and remains under active investigation. No further details or information are being released at this time.
