Kettle Moraine Lutheran soccer wraps up season

kml-vs-sheboygan

Kettle Moraine Lutheran’s season came to an end Thursday, as the Chargers fell 3-2 to Sheboygan County Christian/Sheboygan Area Lutheran.

The first half was hard-fought but both teams finished without a goal.

Sheboygan opened the scoring 8 minutes into the second, when forward Jacob Stecker headed in a shot from close range. KML’s Joseph Raasch responded with goals in the 54th and 62nd minutes, putting the Chargers in front.

But the lead was short lived, as Sheboygan’s Brandon Wishman tied the score just 3 minutes after the Eagles had fallen behind.

Sheboygan got the winning goal in the 72nd minute, when the ball bounced to the feet of Jacob Stecker, who calmly slotted the ball into the net. SCC/SAL advance to the sectional final match on Saturday, when it will take on University School of Milwaukee.
