January 1, 2024 – Washington Co., Wi – The annual Polar Plunge on Big Cedar Lake will take place at noon today as neighbors across Washington County, Wi ring in the New Year with a freezing dip. Below is video of the plunge from 2017… when there was more ice on the lake.

Doesn’t this look like fun?? Dozens rang in the New Year in 2017 by taking the plunge into Big Cedar Lake as over 150 family and friends stood witness. Above ground it was sunny and 36. Water temp was about 40 degrees…. but shocked faces made it look colder.
