Wayne Crusaders 4-H enter ice cream contest | By Alyce Herman

Town of Wayne, Wi – 4-H Clubs throughout Wisconsin have the opportunity to participate in an Ice Cream Flavor Naming Contest. This contest offers the launch of a new ice cream flavor in the summer of 2024 created by a 4-H Club.

Wayne Crusaders, a 4-H Club in Washington County, WI, gathered into groups to brainstorm ideas at their annual monthly meeting this week.

Members got creative and came up with five ideas including ‘Hog Heaven’ which was inspired by our group members who raise and show hogs at the Washington County Fair.

‘Rockin’ raspberry’ which is designed to remind people of the warm summer days in the midst of winter. The ‘4-H Heater’ was another flavor thought to represent the 4-leaf clover of 4-H.

Cocoa Paradise to remind us that winter can be like paradise (for some), and lastly Barbie and Ken which was thought of by a member who enjoys the new Barbie movie that recently debuted in theatres.

The members of the Wayne Crusaders are crossing their fingers that they’ll make it to the top five finalists. This 4-H contest allowed not only our 4-H members to become creative with a purpose but also other 4-H clubs throughout Wisconsin.

Wish Wayne Crusaders good luck in the Cedar Crest Ice Cream Flavor Naming Contest. I mean, who wouldn’t want to have the honor of eating ice cream that was created by them?
