Suspect taken into custody after Fond du Lac woman stabbed in her home | By Fond du Lac Police Dept.

November 15, 2023 – Fond du Lac, WI – On, Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at approximately 2:43 a.m., the City of Fond du Lac Police Department (FDLPD) responded to the 800 block of Martin Avenue for a report of a stabbing incident.

FDLPD learned that a 32-year-old Fond du Lac female entered the victim’s residence and physically assaulted her causing a laceration to her face.
The 29-year-old Fond du lac female victim was transported to SSM Health (St. Agnes Hospital) with non-life-threatening injuries.
FDL police officers tracked the suspect down at her residence. FDLPD Officers negotiated with the suspect on the phone and through the closed door to the residence and eventually were able to take her into custody without further incident.
The 32-year-old suspect was arrested and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of Substantial Battery and Criminal Damage to Property.
The investigation into the circumstances that led up to the stabbing is active and ongoing at this time. Both individuals are known to each other and this is an isolated act of violence.
The investigation into this incident is at the preliminary stages and remains under active investigation. No further details or information are being released at this time.
Fond du Lac Police Dept. was assisted by the City of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue and the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
