October 28, 2023 – Washington Co., WI – There’s still a chance today to watch the fastest man on ice from Washington County, Wi set another speedskating record at the Pettit National Ice Center. Around 2 p.m. Jordan Stolz, 19, will skate the 5000-meter race.
This is a free opportunity to see a future Winter Olympic champion up close.
Stolz already set a new track record this weekend, finishing the 1,500 meter in 1:42.3 it was faster than the record time he recorded this past January 2023 at 1:43.38.
Dirk Stolz said Jordan backed out of today’s 500-meter competition because he set a record on Friday.
The 5,000-meter race should begin around 2:10 p.m. Stolz will be up against 3 other skaters.
