Kettle Moraine Lutheran wrapped up its regular season with a game at Grafton on Friday.
KML fought hard, but ultimately fell 2-0.
The Black Hawks took the lead in the 37th minute, when senior Patrick Still placed a shot perfectly off the post and into the Charger net.
After 76 minutes of exciting, end-to-end play, Grafton put the game out of reach with a goal from senior Logan Block.
Even after a loss, KML coach Matt Moeller was happy with his team’s effort. “This match was a great tune-up to help with our State Tournament play next week,” he said. “After playing one of our best complete matches of the season against a quality opponent, we are headed to the postseason with plenty of confidence.”
KML has its first tournament game on Thursday, but the Chargers will not know their opponent until after the seeding meeting on Saturday.
