West Bend, WI – Holy Angels Catholic School, 230 N. Eighth Ave., West Bend, WI, is shining a spotlight on its 2023/2024 teaching staff. Lori (Lorna) Brabender, or “Mrs. B”, is another one of our wonderful 5K aides.

“I was born, raised, and lived in West Bend my whole life,” said Brabender, “I have been married to Gary Brabender for 48 years. We have three children, Katie, Dan, and Elly, who are all married. We have five grandchildren: Taylor, Brody, Dylan, Brynn, and Carter.
We recently moved to Waldo and are enjoying the new home we built there.
“I love reading, walking, and watching our grandchildren’s sports and activities. My favorite time is having the whole family together.
“My husband and I were baptized at Holy Angels, attended grade school there, and were married there. I love the church, school, and people in the parish. I always feel happy and at home here.
“I look forward to my special “Wednesdays” every week in the 5K classroom. I was the first 5K aide at HA almost 30 years ago, subbed in the office, and taught religious ed. I have been back as an aide in various grades for six years after retiring from working in banking and retail for many years.
“To sum it up simply – Holy Angels is a wonderful family to be a part of.”
