October 6, 2023 – Washington Co., WI – The West Bend West Spartans volleyball matched up against the Slinger Owls on Thursday night, October 5, 2023. The Spartans fought hard but came up short in 4 games losing 25-18, 26-24, 25-17, 27-25.
The Spartans focused on making quality plays and not letting the opposing team make a run of points but it just wasn’t enough.

Freshman Emmalee Heniadis stepped up for the Spartans on the outside with some key kills and digs as Junior Kylee Altendorf was out with an ankle injury.
Leading the way for the Spartans was Lindsay Sandleback with 16 kills and 12 digs; Emmalee Heniadis added 15 kills and 7 digs; Emy Miller had 22 digs followed by Paige Guse with 13 digs. Maddie Abel added 40 assists.
The Spartans are now 5-3 in the North Shore Conference and match up against the Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes next Thursday, October 12, 2023, for their last conference match of the year with a 7:00 p.m. start time.
