West Bend West JV1 volleyball scores win over West Bend East | By Claire Lemke and Emmalee Heniadis

October 4, 2023 – West Bend, WI – On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, the West Bend West JV1 volleyball team played against its cross-hall rivals, West Bend East Suns. The Spartans took over the Suns in three sets. The first game ended with a winning score of 25-21. The second set was lost to the Suns in a tough battle with a score of 26-24.

Although all of the Spartans played extremely well, two really stood out. Libero, Macey Henschel had amazing hustle and passes throughout the entire match. It looked like we were at an IHOP with all those pancakes Macey was getting.
Right beside her was outside hitters Rylee Fhaeling. Her hits looked like they were what made the dinosaurs go extinct. In total, everyone played very well.

Rylee Faehling had 4 ace serves, Emmalee Heniadis had 14 kills, Ella Henschel had 11 assists, and Macey Henschel had 6 digs.

Thursday WBW is eager to continue its great gameplay against the Slinger Owls at Slinger High School, 209 Polk Street, with a 5:30 p.m. start time.

About the authors: Claire Lemke plays on the West Bend West JV1 volleyball team as a sophomore middle blocker. Freshman Emmalee Heniadis plays on the West Bend West Varsity and JV-1 volleyball teams. She is an outside hitter on both teams.
