Gintner submitted an audition video which included America the Beautiful, and a portion of the song “On my own” from the musical Les Misérables.

“This was the song I sang for solo and ensemble my senior year,” said Gintner. “I could not have done any of this without the support and help from my truly wonderful high school choir teacher Mrs. Heather Peters. I am blessed to have her in my life and very thankful for all of her help.”

The National FFA Chorus will perform several times during the national convention and expo.

Isabelle Gintner will join fellow chorus members in Indianapolis for rehearsals three days before the convention and expo begins.

“This is just such a big honor,” said Gintner.

The audition process included multiple steps including auditioning for Wisconsin State FFA choir, a letter of recommendation to the National choir, and another audition.

“I received an email from the National FFA choir director and when I saw that… let’s just say I had an out-loud response,” said Gintner.

The National FFA Organization is a school-based national youth leadership development organization of more than 945,000 student members as part of 9,163 local FFA chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

There are between 30 and 40 people selected for the FAA National Convention.

“Kids from all over the United States auditioned to be in this choir and it’s personally the biggest choral achievement I’ve ever been a part of,” she said.  “It’s just very unreal because when people think of the FFA, they think of farmers and teachers in classrooms, but they don’t see the public speaking side of it or the public performance side of it, which is also a huge part of the FFA. They’re preparing the leaders of tomorrow.”

Isabelle Gintner is studying Agriculture Education.

“We will be going down to Indiana and we start practice when we arrive on Saturday, October 28, and we’ll begin rehearsing that night. Our first show will be November 1 and then we will be performing until November 4.”
