September 7, 2023 – West Bend, WI – Had a crew all set up to lay irrigation today and wouldn’t you know it we were blessed with 1.5″ of life-giving rain yesterday.
So this morning has started later than normal. I used my slow start to make the boys breakfast and enjoy a meal of pancakes and eggs with them.
Honestly, the look on their faces was priceless when I called them to the table.
Now at the farm I have my day mapped out and got my mind prepared for a long muddy slog of a day.
Unfortunately, Pick Your Own fields are closed til we dry off. May be tomorrow afternoon or it could take until Saturday.
