August 6, 2023 – Richfield, WI – Nobody was injured and the cause of a fire at a restaurant on Highway 175 remains under investigation according to the Washington County Sheriff.
The initial fire call came in at 5:18 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center received reports of a fire at Badger Burger Company located on Hwy 175 in the Village of Richfield.

Sheriff’s Deputies and Richfield Fire were subsequently dispatched to the scene. Dispatch was also advised the occupants of the business had all evacuated.
Upon arrival of first responders, active flames were seen coming out of the northeast corner of the building. Richfield Fire upgraded the response the MABAS Working Still level.
Fire Department personnel were able to contain the fire to the kitchen storage area, and the fire was extinguished a short time later.
Richfield Fire was assisted by Germantown, Slinger, Jackson, Hartford, Lisbon, Allenton, Lifestar Rescue. Hwy 175 was shut down for approximately one hour. There were no injuries reported as a result of the fire, and there are no damage estimates at this time.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and Richfield Fire.
