Joseph J. Arkenberg age 62 of West Bend died Friday, September 30, 2016. He was born December 22, 1953 in West Bend to John and Irene (nee Lorenz) Arkenberg.
Joe worked at AT&T for 33 years. He enjoyed volunteering with the St. Ben’s meal program in Milwaukee.
Throughout his life, Joe was a member of Holy Angels Parish. He participated in Eucharistic Adoration, was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, and made regular pilgrimages to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Green Bay.
Joe had many hobbies, interests and talents. They included stamp collecting, gardening, painting and his faith.
Joseph is survived by his 2 daughters: Megan Arkenberg of Davis, CA and Therese Arkenberg of Germantown and their mother Donna Arkenberg of Germantown. He is further survived by his siblings: Kay (Gene) Schmid of Pewaukee and Rick (Chris) Arkenberg of Milwaukee, his sister-in-law Ruth (Steve) Johnson of Pewaukee and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Irene Arkenberg and his 2 brothers Larry Arkenberg and John Arkenberg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 12 at 6 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend with Rev. Patrick Heppe presiding. Burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery. The family will greet visitors on Wednesday from 4 until 5:45 p.m. at the church.
