June 29, 2023 – Washington Co., WI – Robert “Bob” D. Shymanski, 84, of West Bend, formerly of Milwaukee, Cedarburg, and Wild Rose, died on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Compassionate Heights Senior Living.
Bob was born on October 28, 1939, in Milwaukee to the late Rogers and Ethel (nee Vogel) Shymanski.
On July 5, 1958, he was united in marriage to Jill Sheedy in Milwaukee. Jill was predeceased on May 27, 2016.
Bob served in the United States Navy and later went on to become a police officer with the Cedarburg Police Department.
He loved the Lord, the United States, and the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include 1 daughter Vicki (James Friess) Shymanski of Jackson; 3 grandchildren: Angela (Brian) Hollnagel, Jeremy (Avia) Shymanski and Dylan (Amanda) Hauck; great-grandchildren Ava and Carson, Jeremy, Jr., Jermariyana, Jerlayah, Alica, Andriyana, Janelle and Janessa and Olivia and Ellie; many friends and other family.
In addition to his wife Jill and parents, he was preceded in death by a son Steven and a daughter Shawn.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 24 at Sluggers, 495 Main St., Wild Rose at 12 p.m. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery, Saxeville, WI, located at the southeast corner of County Highway EE and 26th Road.
