A member of the Bay Lakes Council Troop 6780, Naumann has been able to earn 36 merit badges in four short years. “My favorite were music and art related,” she said. “Fingerprinting, salesmanship and leatherwork were required but were rather easy.”
Naumann grew her skillset in leadership and earned the top scouting award with an Eagle Scout badge for her project building benches and a mud table to use in the local parks system.
“Leadership is a big part of becoming an Eagle Scout,” said Naumann. “I feel like I’m a natural-born leader because my friends look up to me.”
Over the course of several months Naumann finished four Leopold benches, two mud benches and four stump chairs.

“For me earning Eagle Scout shows dedicated leadership, that I can finish a project and I’m kind of a go getter,” said Naumann.
Naumann’s official induction ceremony is in August 2023.
