Obit: Mary E. Biersack, 82, West Bend

Mary E. Biersack (nee Waldkirch), age 82, of West Bend, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, October 1, 2016.

Mary was born on February 26, 1934 in Newburg to the late George and Mary (nee Wegener) Waldkirch.  She was united in marriage to Leonard Biersack on June 27, 1953 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg.  Leonard preceded her in death on August 4, 1989.

Mary was employed at Amity Leather in West Bend for over 30 years.  She was a devoted mother who loved her family and especially looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Mary enjoyed playing sheepshead, scrabble, and gin rummy.

Those Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory include her six children, Father Tom Biersack of Mayville, LeRoy, and Theresa, Carol (Mark) Halfmann of Eden, Susan (William) Timblin of Campbellsport, Daniel Biersack of Kewaskum, Judy (James) Benike of West Bend, and Michael (Mary Jo) Biersack of Wayne; eight grandchildren, Kelly (Aaron) Kutz, Tracy Halfmann, Chrissy (Doug) Doyle, Billy (Lisa) Timblin, Jake (Kaitlin) Timblin, Ashley (Tim) Jacobson, Brad Benike, and Jordan Benike; seven great-grandchildren, Bentley and Brecken Kutz, Will and Maddie Timblin, Dax and Dane Doyle, and Carter Jacobson; a sister, Barb Schlosser of Newburg; four brothers, Joey Waldkirch of Newburg, Julius (Rosie) Waldkirch of Fredonia, Richard Waldkirch of Shawano, and Peter (Ann) Waldkirch of Newburg; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Biersack of West Bend; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband Leonard; Mary was preceded in death by a sister; a brother; her parents-in-law, John and Anna Biersack; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial in memory of Mary will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 6:00 pm at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (1610 Monroe St. West Bend, WI 53090).  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery on Main St. in West Bend.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
