Plans were reviewed and approved in April 2022. Demolition of the former Shell gas station was completed and then in September 2022 neighbors questioned why the projects had foundations poured but no progress for eight weeks.
At the time City Engineer Max Marechal said the slowdown was due to a change in location of the water lateral.
It’s now May 2023, a full year since the project got underway and within the past week the red bricks went up on the exterior of the Panera and the windows were put in place for Chipotle.

That’s the location of the old Shell gas station. PPM Development, LLC out of Brookfield is the corporate name for gas station property.

The closest Chipotle location is off Appleton Avenue in Menomonee Falls.
Panera Bread currently has a location at 1608 S. Main Street, West Bend, WI. Customers will concur the area is a bit tight on parking. The trendy franchise cafe also has no drive thru. That Panera on S. Main Street also shares a small strip mall location with another outlet, AT&T Store, just east of the Paradise Pavilion.
