Kewaskum woman grows giant lily and shares her gardening secret

Kewaskum, WI – It seems a parent tradition to stand in the door frame by the kitchen and measure the height of your growing children…. except at the Goeden house in Kewaskum where Jeanne feels comfortable being overshadowed by her giant backyard Lily.

“To tell you the truth, we measured it when it was 7 feet,” said Goeden.  “I will go out tomorrow morning and check for sure.”
Goeden said the lily was 7 feet last year.  She said this year it’s higher and has more flowers on it.
Rain water and west sun light are her gardening secrets.  “That’s it,” she said.  “It’s soooo beautiful.”
On a side note:  Do you have a photo of your successful plants this year? Share it and post below.

  1. Outstanding! My ‘Silk Road’ is even taller, and oh the FRAGRENCE! It’s a challenge to stake these beauties with a cane in the other hand! But they are so worth the effort and they are ‘the thrill of the year’. ENJOY!
