St. Paul, MN – Jordyn Heckendorf was named the UMAC player of the week (April 24-April 30) representing Martin Luther College softball. Heckendorf is a Kewaskum resident and a 2020 graduate of Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School (KML)
The junior appeared in five games this past week and went 13-17 at the plate (.765) with one homerun, five RBI, and four runs scored.

Heckendorf also displayed her glove in the outfield, with no errors on 18 putouts and 1 assist.
The centerfielder had a 4-4 game against Minnesota-Morris and then followed that performance with a 4-5 effort in game two of the doubleheader, where she hit a crucial two-run homer in the seventh inning to extend the Knights’ lead.

As a result, the Knights swept the Cougars on Tuesday, April 25.
Heckendorf joins Matt Rieger and Maya Habben as MLC student-athletes to win player of the week in their respective sports.
