Registered sex offender to be released in Washington Co., WI | By Washington County Sheriff

April 17, 2023 – Jackson, WI – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the following information pursuant to WI Statute 301.46(2m) which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sex offender’s release when, in the discretion of the agency, the release of information will enhance public safety, awareness, and protection.

The individual who appears on this notification has been convicted of a sex offense.

Alex C. Schickert will be released from prison on April 21, 2023. After his release, he will reside at 1725 Cth NN in the Township of Jackson. In 2011 Alex was convicted of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child. He was also convicted of 4th Degree Sexual Assault in 2009, and Sex with a Child Age 16 or Older in 2010. Alex C. Schickert will be on probation until Nov 26, 2028. He will be monitored by the WI-DOC Division of Community. Alex C. Schickert will have numerous rules and restrictions to follow including wearing a live-tracking GPS unit.

This sex offender has served the prison sentence imposed on him by the courts. He is NOT wanted by law enforcement at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear, but rather it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.

Sex offenders have always lived in our communities, but it was not until the Sex Offender Registration and Community Notification Law was enacted that law enforcement was able to share this information with the community. More information can be located HERE.
