Deputies identified both occupants in the vehicle as 16-year-old female from Campbellsport and 17-year-old female from Eden. Both suffered minor injuries and were transported via ambulance to SSM Health – St. Agnes.
Through investigation, it was determined the vehicle was southbound on USH 45 as it entered a curve south of Mitchell Road. The operator failed to negotiate the curve resulting in the vehicle entering the west ditch where it then overturned after striking a driveway culvert. Neither occupant had been wearing their seatbelts during the crash.
Speed and impairment appear to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
Assisting on scene was Eden Fire Department/First Responders and Campbellsport Ambulance.
