REAL ESTATE | New Civic Center coming to Village of Kewaskum

March 7, 2023 – Kewaskum , Wi – The Kewaskum Village Board voted on Monday night approving a letter of intent to purchase the headquarters building in Kewaskum of Regal Ware, Inc., for a new civic center project.

The Village of Kewaskum will utilize the building and its almost 6 acres to create a new civic center including space for the Village Hall, Police Station, Library, and community programming.

This new civic center will be an important gathering place, providing a central location for residents to access essential services and resources.

The purchase of the headquarters building does not impact the company’s manufacturing facility in West Bend.

The Village was looking to build a newly expanded and enhanced civic center, while Regal Ware’s need for such a large office building changed.

The company will make a significant financial contribution to the civic center and will also continue to support the non-profit and educational causes they have been a part of over the years in the community, including the high school scholarship program, providing over a $1 million in scholarships since its inception.

Current employees of Regal Ware in Kewaskum will all keep their jobs in the new location, which has yet to be determined but will likely be in the northwest part of Milwaukee County.

The next steps for the development project include the Village of Kewaskum assessing and reviewing the building and property, working on design retrofits to take the property from a corporate office building to a civic center campus, gathering cost estimates and presenting to the Village Board.

  1. This is a good move for Kewaskum. The Library was at the address since I was little.

    Very limited in learning resources!

  2. You can utilize this building in case of an emergency for the schools.

Have the students know to go there and have designated locations for each grade for head count if the need be hope not ever

Short Walking distance for all students from their schools to use the library.
