February 14, 2023 – West Bend, Wi – Dear Editor, I have two urgent requests. The first is for residents, families, and taxpayers of the West Bend School District to please beware. Our administrators are asking our school board to eliminate policy 511.1 on nepotism.
This policy prevents the school board from being captured by teachers, administrators, and staff, through their relatives who sit on the school board by requiring that they recuse themselves from voting when there are conflicts of interest.
This policy is necessary, because it’s the ONLY representation that residents, families, and taxpayers have while teachers and staff also have the administration and/or teachers’ union.
Please tell the school board to keep the policy by attending the Feb. 20th school board meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Education Service Center. You can also call or email the school board to tell them to vote no on the removal.
The second urgent request is for all WI citizens to do their part to save our state by voting for Dan Kelly for WI Supreme Court Justice on or before the primary Election Day of Feb. 21st.
Dan Kelly did an outstanding job during his four years as a consistently conservative WI Supreme Court Justice after being appointed for that seat by then Governor Scott Walker. His record as a justice proves that he upholds the law and our Constitution. The two liberal opponents, Edward Mitchell and Janet Protasiewicz, have stated they will legislate from the bench and are promoting their agenda in their ads. Don’t let that happen.
Our two missions: 1) Stop the removal of nepotism policy 511.1 from the WBSD school board on or before Feb. 20th to save our school district; and 2) Vote for Dan Kelly for WI Supreme Court on or before the Feb. 21st primary Election Day to save our state.

*Trolling: a troll is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal, on-topic discussion,[3] often for the troll’s amusement.
