January 25, 2023 – West Bend, WI – On Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 11:24 a.m., a West Bend Police Officer attempted to stop a vehicle because the registered owner had an active Washington County arrest warrant for operating without a valid license.
The vehicle accelerated after the patrol car’s emergency lights and siren were activated. A brief vehicle pursuit ensued.

The driver abandoned the vehicle and continued fleeing on foot. The driver became tired and surrendered to officers without further incident.
The West Bend 29-year-old Hispanic male was placed in the Washington County jail for eluding, resisting arrest, operating while intoxicated, operating without a valid license, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and the original Washington County warrant.
There were no injuries or property damage occurred during this incident.
