Obit: David Malecha, Slinger, 63

David Malecha, of Slinger, age 63, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016, at his favorite place, Kilby Lake Campground, after suffering a heart attack. He was born on July 18, 1953 in Northfield, Minnesota to Raymond and Julia (nee Horejsi) Malecha. He was married on May 22, 1976 in West Bend, WI to Susan Martz.

David graduated from West Bend East High School with the class of 1971 and went onto get his associate degree in tool & die from Moraine Park Technical College. He worked as a tool and die maker for thirty years at Briggs and Stratton and retired in 2006. He also worked as the Slinger Village Trustee from 2007 to 2010 and on the Board of Appeals as an alternate since 2012.  He took great satisfaction spending time with his family especially his two young grandsons. He greatly enjoyed camping with his family and friends where many great memories and laughs were created.

David is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Susan Malecha; two sons, Jason (Tina) Malecha and Andrew (Jennifer) Malecha; two grandsons Nolan and Reid Malecha; one brother Dale (Liz) Malecha; four sisters-in law; three brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Julia Malecha; niece Brianna Martz and nephew Zachary Martz.

A Funeral Services will be held at 6:00PM on Thursday September 15, 2016 at The Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend, WI) with Pastor David Schoob presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3:00PM until the time of service.
