Administrators Update:
This coming week, I will be continuing to convert the budget into the new format and tying things up for review. During this time, I will be in the office only for pre-arranged appointments. If you would like to meet during this week, please contact Julie Hanrahan to set up an appointment or call my cell.
This past Monday night I attended the Fire Department monthly meeting. Elected officials are always invited to attend one of their monthly meetings which take place the second Monday of the month at 7 p.m. Bring your appetite because a light lunch is served at the conclusion of the meeting.
Interviews are being conducted for Health Insurance Advisors for the City. The City has been with Willis of Wisconsin for several years but are making sure that there are no better options for less price. A decision will be made in the coming week.
RFP’s for Assessor Services are also out. The deadline to respond is in one week.
Hwy. 83 Reconstruction Project:
For the week of August 15th: Jason was on vacation this week so there is no report. However, you can see that the first block of Main was paved this week. Sidewalk work will follow so businesses should see some relief in the coming month.
TIF #10 Rolls out in coming month:
The Joint Review Board will be reviewing the creation of TID #10 at their September 8th meeting. This TID will encompass much of the downtown area from Sumner St to State Street including the proposed hotel project and north bookend apt project.
Water Main Break:
There was a water main break south Main Street near the pool last Friday morning. Repairs were done by noon. An estimated twenty residents were affected.
