Lots of eager children were waiting for Farm Day to start at the Slinger Community Library, including many children from local day cares.
Emmett the sheep and Leo the goat arrived accompanied by Graeme and Art from Glacier Rock Farms.
Vanessa Taylir, Library Director, kept Leo out of trouble and Patty Peters, Children’s Librarian and Assistant Director, did the same with Emmett while their temporary corral was constructed.
Among the crowd waiting for their chance to feed and pet the animals was Joey Cybela with his mom Jessica, standing with Olivia, Delilah, and Anna Vermilyea with their mom Sabrina.
Grandma Marlyss Thiel was there with Adeline and Anthony Hansen.
Grandma Sherry Gundrum brought Katy and Keller Smaga, Blake and Gracie Paczesny brought their mom Kim.
“Papa” grandfather Karl Smaga was there with the Smaga and Paczesny children, along with Margaret Smaga – Library Cataloger and Grandma.
A good time was had by all.
Farm Day started at 10 a.m. and ended at 1 p.m.
